It Is Either Love…or It Isn’t

Life is intended to be a beautiful experience.  Each of us have arrived at this specific place to fill a void that otherwise would have left the universe wanting! As unique expressions, we should derive immense satisfaction from the uniquity of our being, and armed with this knowledge move through every precious moment in love.  How many of our problems are manifest in our lives because we operate out of fear, judgment, rumor, or selfishness?  Why do we go through the day upset at other people because we have “heard” something negative about them, or something negative they supposedly said?  Why do we catastrophize outcomes to problems or difficult situations, when the worst that could happen, rarely does?  Why?  Because we do not operate in Love.

Love means when I hear something about someone that I could take personally, or that upsets me, I go to that person and diaogue.  People that speak disparagingly about other people rarely tell the truth:  they are almost always driven by an agenda, not by love.  Negative situations that confront us are never improved by fear and retaliation.  In both cases, our best response is love.

It could be expressed through kindness, understanding, compassion or just an ear that listens.  It could be a helping hand, a hug, or a life-long friendship.  Through it all, we better ourselves and the world around us by moving in love.  Most people fail to see this because they have no compassion for themselves either.  We must love ourselves before we can love others.  This may be the most important lesson we could learn today.  We are taught to be critical, suspect and selfish.  We think happiness in life is directly proportionate to the assets we obtain:  nothing could be further from the truth!  True happiness in life begins with the understanding of compassion for ourselves, and the external expression of this truth through our interactions with others!

How Can You Not Know?

DSC00111 IMG_7026 IMG_7353I love you.  Don’t you see that?  In the midst of so much confusion…this I know, I love you more than you will ever realize it.  I feel so lucky to be a part of your life, even if you don’t understand or reciprocate.  I will love you, just the same.  Love is the reason we exist.  I plan on existing on a heartfelt plane that encircles all that it means to be human, compassionate, and alive.  Join me, if you will, now and forever!

Living Love

Living Love

For a moment ever so
Quietly…my soul danced
On your smile.
And joy became
The reason.

I don’t know you…
—-but I feel your presence
Still.
A melancholy sense
That my world could be,
Connected to yours
In a way I don’t
Understand.

Strangers, a passing dream:
I wish I could have held you,
Just a bit longer….

I know you think I’m silly….
Confused or just plain fucked….but
What I am is mostly present—-
With those who dare…
Adventure–
Connection–
….and love

I think you are more
Than what you want me to see, and
I will wait in your dreams,
and love your
Momentary presence in my
Life,
For eternity.

For a chance at love’s the
Best we get.
A passion fired with kindred bonds
Consummated spirits play
And hope
And love
And dream……

True Independence

Today is the 4th of July.  As we celebrate the freedoms we enjoy, I hope each of us will take time to reflect on what it is we value in our country?  Is the “freedom” I celebrate today at the expense of others, or do I fully believe in the idea that free thought is  “…endowed by our Creator?”  Or, as I observe, free thought is endowed, as long as I agree with it; as long as it doesn’t deviate too far from my centrist ideas of religion, work, economy or family.  As we look at the panorama of freedoms to celebrate, I hope we can take time to honor diversity.  Diversity in lifestyle, love, religion and economy.  In so doing, imbibe our lives with compassion and charity above all things, and throw off judgment and fear.  Freedom only exists, if it is freedom for everyone.  True independence for me, is built on your free thought and actions…I believe we call that “Interdependence.”  I think that is what I will celebrate today:  “Interdependence Day!”  That is something worthy of celebration by a global family.

…explain away a rainbow for me

Explain away

a rainbow for me

   And watch the

cares

  burn off like

  An

early morning

dew.

You can’t know

how important

you are

to who

I am.

Without a lifetime of

disappointment

you are

    left with

   a narcissictic sense

    that life is

best lived

in front

  of where you are now.

Not knowing that I

would hold you

in the arms

    of a true lover––

–––––––––where time…

…….stops

And joy is

the only

emotion allowed

expression,,,,,

Will you ever

see me

………………….as I see You?

Will you hold me in

your dreams

As I imagine you

in my arms?

–––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

I hold the thought of you in my dreams

But cannot seem to find

the door

to leave

to be with you

I have misplaced the key

And blankly

I find myself staring

At the rusted lock

binding my love.

do you hear me crying

A spirited weeping

From my Soul?

So deep––

So dark

So lonely.

Are you unable to form words

of comfort

    and understanding….

Or is your heart cold

to the needs and wants

of my Love.

I do not wish to grow old

–––AlonE–––a bitter epilogue

To a life of

abundance and joy.

The solitary confinement of death

draws ever clearer to me.

I see the black halo

surround my rainbow

And eat its way through

Hopes and Dreams

    like pungent termites

in a decaying forest.

No weeping for me

my lost friends

For I have found

comfort

In the arms of

my own love

I have learned

to live is often

more painful

than Death’s

own putrid

grip on my throat…___Image

Shades of Outdoor Yoga                                                 In regards to bowties

Welcome to Namastesia: The art of recognizing, receiving, and giving beauty in all of its forms!  Join the revolution of ideas celebrating the light within each of us.  Asked about what would be the demise of mankind, one guru responded, “…the space between you and me!”  To that end, we work to fill that space with connection, love, empathy, and service.
